Two poignant explorations of life and death collided when the team behind Gunther Von Hagens' Body Worlds incorporated Candy Chang's Before I Die project at their exhibition in Times Square, New York.

Before I Die is a global art project that invites people to contemplate mortality and share their personal aspirations in public. The project, found in many cities around the world, features chalkboard walls upon which anyone can complete the statement, "Before I die I want to..."

“A profound reminder of our own mortality and that we should savor and enjoy our lives before we all reach our inevitable destinies.”

Body Worlds is a traveling exposition of dissected human bodies, animals, and other anatomical structures of the body that have been preserved through the process of plastination

Oliver was commissioned to bring these two projects together for a new exhibition at Discovery Times Square in New York City. Designed and coded by Oliver, the installation was the first ever cloud-connected Before I Die wall. The interactive exhibit featured a dedicated iPad web app and projection system– complete with back-end moderation functionality –allowing visitors to create their own submissions and explore the hopes, dreams, and wishes of others in large-format.
